Shannon Chatfield, that is. Like the name implies, I like to talk. I also like to write things down. I’m a New York City-based copywriter with content development, brand strategy and conceptual experience.
My projects span both the consumer and employment branding space, touching industries such as healthcare, travel, fashion, technology, hospitality, and beyond.

I’m at a global law firm in a contract-to-perm role.
Morrison & Foerster, LLC - New York, NY
(August 2018-Present)
I work cross-functionally with legal, business development, and creative team members to curate content that promotes the many sides of the firm - from pro bono work and individual practice groups to diversity and inclusion initiatives. Responsibilities include managing and creating content for the blog, writing internal communications and announcements, content planning and SEO strategy for the website, digital, social
and video assets.
Before that, I freelanced around.
Freelance Copywriter - Brooklyn, NY
(June 2015-Present)
Working with local and international businesses, I have created engaging content that is on-brand for companies in the travel, healthcare, and beauty industries. Projects include websites, print materials, product descriptions, and brand strategy.
I did the whole agency thing for a couple of years, too.
Bayard Advertising - New York, NY
(September 2016-June 2018)
Acting as the main point of contact for all things content-related across 12 office locations, I worked on a variety of employer branding projects spanning industries such as healthcare, hospitality, and technology for large and small companies. My work involved strategic content planning, researching, writing, and editing copy for websites, social media, digital display ads, landing pages, radio scripts and print materials.
